“Forest School” is a wonderful way for children and adults to connect with nature, experience the outdoors and allow those taking part to build their internal resources in a hands-on way. Our aim on our forest school programmes is to build confidence, self-esteem and allow participants to follow their own independent play journey, and we encourage regular and repeated participation in forest school sessions, whatever the weather, to allow these learnings to develop.
Right now, we’re booking for an autumn and winter Saturday Forest School Club for 5 – 11 year olds in Pollok Country Park, come play, it’s going to be a wonderful autumn!
Saturday Forest School Club
With a focus on learning through fun games, play and nature, these forest school sessions give children the opportunity to experience hands-on woodland based activities such as using hand tools for sawing and carving wood, making rope swings, building dens from natural materials, firelighting skills, and to get curious about all the animals that live in our beautiful Pollok Country Park.
